x360ce won't recognize more than one xinput controller

I added a second xbox 360 controller to my PC with USB adapter. Before that, I had everything working fine with my one xbox 360 controller and two dinput controllers. However, now I've added a second xbox 360 controller and x360ce will recognize it and monitor its input but in the gamepad tab but in the graphic where the mapping is shown, none of the buttons or axes on the screen respond to my button/axis presses on the controller.

Any suggestions?
