Gamecube controls spaz out at random

I'm using a gamecube controller plugged into the official Nintendo adapter, using Massive's adapter driver. Windows 10.

I spent 6+ hours trying everything to get x360ce to work with Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, but the damn thing wouldn't launch/work at all no matter the settings, despite being on the list of compatible games, and trying everything google had.

I eventually tried this XOutput alternative, which didn't work, but somehow when I use it with x360ce, they work together...
