Dualshock 1 PU203 adapter Greyed out

Hi peeps

I have a PS Dualshock SCPH 1200 connected via a PU203 adapter as can be purchased on amazon etc. I'm using the drivers downloaded from web.
When I run x360ce it starts and I choose "Twin USB Network Gamepad" from the Game controllers button bottom left but the controller page is completely greyed out.
My controller works in the control panel properties setup.
Also in xpadder

Any ideas?
