FF7/FF8 Controller Support?

Hey, I'm currently Attempting to Map Buttons the my Gamecube Controller with X360CE in order to use The D-pad with FF7 but it is ignoring the Configurations I made. Is Final Fantasy 7 for Steam Currently Supported?
