Left stick working - buttons aren't. Please help.

Hi,

So, I'm trying to play a Steam early access game called Lord of the Seal. I have it configured in x360ce with the default settings. The left stick works fine, but the buttons don't.

I have tried reconfiguring the buttons and nothing seems to work.

Any ideas here?
