Divinity Original Sin

I am having trouble using the program with Divinity Original Sin. I went through the recommended steps using the 64 bit version of the application on Windows 7 but it did not work. Divinity does not recognize my joysticks at all. It looks like Divinity is still pulling the dll from my system32 director. Any thoughts?
